Early Learning Coordinator

I am truly honored to become part of the Prior Lake -Savage community, I am excited for the opportunity to work with students, families, staff and our community stakeholders. The Early Learning program is a unique and special place to work.

I started my career in education in 1992 and I have served in the area of School Administration since 2004.  I earned my bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State before teaching in Japan for 2 years. I then went on to pursue my Master of Education degree at the University of Minnesota. In addition, I received my Administrative Licenses at St. Mary’s University. I see myself as a lifelong learner and believe strongly in continuing education. My passion has been, and always will be, in putting children first.

I live in Eagan with my partner Carl and I am the parent of two amazing kids, Hana and Axel. I enjoy running and practicing yoga when I can. You will often find me outside in nature, reading a good book or just hanging with my family.

I am looking forward to continuing to partner with Lori Parker as we grow our program and I hope we support families and our stakeholders in all ways possible.

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Coordinator

I was thrilled to join PLSAS in 2011 as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the ECSE program when my daughter started kindergarten at Edgewood and I am excited to now serve as the ECSE Coordinator for our program with an amazing team that is dedicated to the children and families we serve. Inclusion is a priority at Edgewood and I am thankful for our ECFE, Circle of Friends and community partnerships as we work to provide opportunities for all students.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and earned my Master’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Wichita State University. I completed the PreK-12 Administrator and Director of Special Education Licensure programs with St. Mary's University, Twin Cities. My experience prior to PLSAS includes work as an SLP in both educational and clinical settings and as a Special Education Supervisor before taking some time to enjoy my mom job with two small children.

My husband Brian and I have two daughters, Ava and Izzy, who attend PLSAS, as well as a pup named Pete. We appreciate our Laker family and being part of a community that values education and connection! I enjoy outside activities of all kinds and spending time with family and friends. I love to read and am always interested in learning new things. I am passionate about early intervention, putting kids and families first and supporting educators so they can better support kids.
